Welcome to MLB Opening Game

4-2 +1,850

Los Angeles Dodgers at San Diego Padres
Here we go 2014! Every team in in contention. The Dodgers lost their last game of spring training to the ALWest Angels as Dan Harren was hit hard for six runs, but everyone else held their own. L.A. Loaded the bus after the game and went straight to San Diego. The Pads are off to a start with depleted line up. Going with Ryu and the Dodgers.

Grapefruit Game Friday

3-2 +850

A beautiful day in Clearwater Florida. That can only mean game day in Bright House Field the home of Philadelphia Philles.

Pittsburgh Pirates at Philadelphia Phillies
The close proximity of these two training camp makes this match ideal for both teams to have extended weapons available at their disposal. Phils will give another go with Kyle Kendrick, the veteran right hander, and the Pirates will send Charlie Morton, who has just received a contract extension, having a very good spring. Morton looks to be a key member of 2014 Bucs rotation. In his last start held the powerful Tigers line up in check. We have several Bucs with double digit plate appearance against Kendrick and the road favorite looks good today.

MLB Cactus League Friday

3-1 +1,850

Sup people? We're back in Arizona, some clouds in the 83F degree range with little wind, perfect game condition. Starting to notice the rise in level of play. It's nearing the Opener and some teams looks a bit behind on schedule....

Milwaukee Brewers at Texas Rangers
We feel the Rangers are one of those teams lagging behind. Although hovering around 10th ranked power team for 2014 season the Rangers are a team in the works. Taking the Dog Brewers, Yovani Gallardo working his way back will be a key member of Milwaukee rotation. His innings are being extended and he should perform to impress.

There was a play we were watching since the open, but we're passing today in baseball. The nature of exhibition games being high risk is one thing, you need added information to make a solid pick and we're getting some mixed signals. We are ahead of the game and there's no need to give it back. Sometimes it pays to fold'em.  See you in the next round.

BTW
We were looking at the Pads in the late game. You know the Pads and the Mariners share the facility at Peoria sports complex and the same home field. They could throw anybody into this game.

We stay off this game and the final is 5-5 push.

Spring Training Tuesday

2-0 +2000

Game 3 in Spring 2014. Going back to the Cactus League play.

To Mesa, Arizona. Cubs Park baby! We get another adjustment game for Jorge De La Rosa and maybe we're in for some improvement. It's been his worst Spring start for the Rox and Cubs Park has not been kind to pitchers. Chicago will send Travis Wood. In contrast to De La Rosa's bloated 9.64 ERA in 2 starts and 4 innings Travis is pitching in form with 1 hit no runs in 1 start with 3 innings. Keep in mind the starting pitchers will have limited impact on the outcome and we are speculating the pen.

Hey fellas, back to the diamonds in Tampa. Looking like rain, but taking a shot with big name pitchers taking the mound. Sanchez going for the Tigers and Kuroda for the Yankees. The Tigers making a trip from Lakeland on a day like this does little for motivation.  Going with the Yankees at Legends Field.

Welcome to MLB Spring Training Camp

Are you keeping your eyes on the ball? We are warming up in Arizona and Florida with exhibition games under way. Taking in the game at Goodyear Ballpark with the Reds taking on the visiting Dodgers.
Looks like a good line up starting this game, but as always with the Cactus league the starting line up will not finish. So we will take the road dog Dodgers with Ryu to start against Bailey. Homer's second start and the first one looked rusty. We like the Dodgers to get on board and hold on to this one.
