However his road game has much to be desired and he will be facing one of the hottest team in baseball. Seattle's Marco Gonzales is coming on strong. Home field is where he performs. So we'll check out the battle of the fish in Florida, take it easy and have a margarita. Tampa has Shane MaClanahan throwing from the left. He's 11-5 with 2.20 ERA.  We like Shane, but not so much on the road.  Miami's sending Jesus Lazardo who is pitching without run support. He's having his best month and kept his team in striking distance every August start. We're looking for pitching today and that's how we're playing.

Who do you like on Wednesday Baseball? We like  Zac Gallen pitching for the D-Backs. He's one bad pitcher with all indicators strengthening. Even if he regressed from his last performance this is going to be a difficult day for the Royals line up. Brady Singer is also holding his own. He held Tampa to 2 runs and the Rays did not get to him until the 6th inning. Beat the NL West leading Dodgers before that, gave up nothing. Both teams are losing, but Kansas with tendencies to lose in interleague at 2-7 in last 9, 2-8 in home interleague, 2-9 against NL West, 1-4 against good pitching and 1-4 against losing teams. Arizona 9-3 head to head match in Kansas City and 4-0 in last 4 meetings. Let/s back the Diamondbacks.

Thursday baseball is alright in the day light. We have good pitchers going on the mound, but good pitcher does not always equate to low score. Andrew Heaney has been successful, but he’s not going to eat up innings and could have rough patches. The Dodgers offense usually takes care of business in Heaney starts. Milwaukee’s Corbin Burnes comes with 1.65 ERA 0.92 WHIP no doubt he’s got game. However he does look to regress and will face very dangerous LA line up. The Dodgers are Over 4-0 after allowing 2 runs or less, 5-1 following a win, 5-2 overall. Milwaukee 6-0 after allowing 2runs or less, 5-2 against NL West, 7-3 in game 4 of series and 6-2 head to head. Love the deep corners at Miller Park.

MLB under the sun, maybe in a dome, but that's okay it's mid summer baseball and it's all good.  We look for a brand of games that has our kind of edge. The Jays have Kevin Gausman on the mound with 2.91 ERA coming off a excellent game away at Tampa back in August 2nd logging 8 innings of 1 hit game throwing 103 pitches and August 7 in Minnesota 6 innings of no run game. It was a bounce from his other recent performance and we do expect regression. Gausman 5-3 away with 1.83 ERA , but 3-5 at home with 4.19 ERA. Top that with little run support on Gausman starts will not help against rising Cleveland Guardians.  Cleveland sending Shane Bieber 7-6 with 3.21 ERA. He is on the rise and owns 1.09 WHIP, that number has shrank to incredible 0.80 in his last 3 games. Cleveland 6-1 in last 7. 5-1 after a loss, 5-1 against right hand pitchers. 8-2 after allowing 2 runs or less in previous game. Toronto 2-5 last 7. 2-5 following a win, 2-5 against winning teams. 4-9 with current Total at home.  Dev and I are backing Bieber and the Guardians on the Moneyline.

Coming off a very disappointing loss last night. We will take a stand on scoring to go Over the Total tonight. We got Clayton Kershaw scratched and Walker Buehler in which may not seem favorable to scoring, but he's showing signs of being a road pitcher and lttle forgiving at home.  Kyle Gibson for the Phillies have been trending Under, but unlikely to stay the distance. Tonight feels like a perfect day for a night game on a warm evening at the Ravine and Philadelphia on 4-1 Over run on this road trip. The Dodgers are on the top of Over / Under record so far. This year is unfolding as Under trending MLB season. I feel the metrics will adjust and retrack to a stable level. We are backing the Over. *The nuber has moved up from 7.5 to 8 we still advise it.

On this game where the Reds are in charge of their own destiny and they are finding obsticles every step of their way. They lost last night against a team they've dominated 1 run shy of coming back behind 6 runs. They will get another shot tonight. The Reds are in line to redeem themselves tonight my thought goes out to the two young arms taking the mound.  Vladimir Gutierrez for the Reds, 9-6 with 104 innings. The kid with the spider tatoo on his neck will look to impress down the stretch. He had some rough spots, but recovered in Chicago and already beaten Pittsburgh. He plays better on the road. Cincinnati will send Mitch Keller 4-11 with 83 innings, coming off a loss against Detroit. He will look to improve tonight, but Cincinnati will knot this series.  The Reds 9-1 against losing teams, 13-5 after scoring 5 runs or more, The Pirates are 4-9 against winning teams, 2-5 after scoring 5 runs or more.

Entertaining for the fans, but 7th inning comeback is a rareity as much as the Pirates winning a interleague game at home.  Detroit has been hit with infections and trace contact protocal. The Books have adjusted making the Bucks a slight home favorites, but this is a comeback night for the Tigers. Detroit 12-4 last 16 when opponent scores 5 or more, 6-2 interleague, 8-3 away. We're out in Surprise, AZ home to the Rangers spring training camp.  Jordan Lyles taking the mound will look to improve today.  He is in a good spot as the Rangers have heated up in March and I expect Texas to keep their momentum against the visiting Dodgers.  L.A. has cooled off a bit and Julio Urias looking to extend, but I don't see the Dodgers doing too much today.  I think the Texas price at home today is under valued and definitely worth a shot.

The make up of this game has the perception of NY just bulling over the visiting Pirates, but Cole's not doing much today and the line up will change. Back to the Great American Ballpark.  We are on a line watch and it is very much in range.  Trevor Bauer maybe having bit of issues since coming to the Reds, but that was all on the road. His home game against San Diego was a quality 7 innings with 11 strike outs. Before that was the Cubs again going 7 innings in a 1 run game also striking out 11. This is a salvage spot in a likely improvement situation for Bauer at home. The visiting Phillies are in the hunt and they are sending Aaron Nola. He has been a work horse and when he is on his game he'll go through batters like hot knife to a butter. He has done well for his backers home and away. It looks like he too will improve his game in 'Cincinnati.
Looking for this game to fall below 9. The number maybe 8.5 when you look at the line, but try for the 9, see if the line will move to your favor.

The starters today are both at the bottom of their respective rotation. Mitch Keller for the Pirates getting his 4th start in August. He is coming off a quality start striking out 9 against Cincinnati. The Pirates are 3-9 following a win. 7-21 on the road against winning teams. 8-20 against right handed pitching. The Phillies are sending Vince Velasqoez.  He was chased in 2 innings at Miami, but much better at home 8-3. Against teams with losing record 6-2.  Head to head match up is 3-9 and 1-5 in Philadelphia.

In this game we have two improving pitchers on the mound.  In contrast the Total is lagging and the public has not caught up. This line can be easily misread, but we look for the outcome to be Under.

Tracking the game at Great American Ballpark. The Cubs are coming in hot, but there are underlying issues away from Wrigley.  Nevertheless Cole Hamels back on the mound for the second time since his return and he gave up zip against Milwaukee last time out. The Reds not to be out done will also attack from the left with Alex Wood. He has a win and since returning both starts have been winners. I expect a tight game tonight and going with the game total to fall below 9.5 Chicago Under 7-1 away against winning home teams. 7-1-1 game 1 of series. 10-2 against NL Central. The Reds are Under 5-1 at home against road losing teams. 18-7-1 after a off day. Head to head Under 5-1 and so the speculative prediction is Under. Love the hook tonight.

The two pitchers on the mound today are both performing well. Joe Musgrove has gone 3-2 in last 7 with 4 quality starts and the Pirates have won 5 out of those 7. However Noah Syndergaard also coming in hot and he has been feasting on teams with losing record.  The Pirates 7-19 overall are 2-8 coming off a loss. Musgrove 5-16 following a quality start. I guess others have noticed that as the Total started at 11.5 and now sit at 12. A very high number considering this series have played Under and Colorado pen is pretty good. On the other side of the angle are the faders Washington, Cleveland, Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees. These teams are expected to be overvalued.
