Baltimore Orioles at Tampa Rays

We have good pitching in St Pete. Moore has improved and good at home in Tampa. Tillman going for Baltimore is close to automatic at 12-2, the O's are 16-3. However the Rays did get to him in Baltimore. The Rays will come to play behind Moore, 5-2 at home with 1.13 WHIP, and that's against winning teams. Baltimore Under 9-2  against below .400 teams. Under 7-1 with Tillman on the mound on the road against below .400 teams. Tampa following a loss is Under 7-1-1. Moore after a quality start is Under 11-5-1. The number has dropped from 8.5, but we still like it.

Boston Red Sox at New York Yankees
Greetings players. Back from the break and ready to rock. We are on the AL East game with the Red Sox visiting the Yankees. The Yankees 23-18 at home and though that's a winning record at home New York does have issues. They are not doing well within their division at 10-17 and they are not performing against winning teams. Michael Pineda will take the mound for NY and he is coming off an excellent June. Pineda's home starts have been well and he does come into a spot to improve.
Steven Wright coming off 2 straight non quality start wins and his road numbers are not as good as home, but he does win against division opponents. Wright has gone 5-1 in last 7 starts and he too will be in a spot to improve. We get a good number on visitors tonight.

We're tracking this one and line has been dropping. SF price has come down and the pitching match up says to fade the Diamondbacks. Arizona 2-10 overall, Ray pitching 3-14 and 5-16 following a loss. Giants 21-5 against NL West.

Michael Wacha and the Cardinals will go at it again with the Brewers. Milwaukee was swept at Bush and it's not going to get much easier at home. Wacha's game has improved and we expect Jimmy Nelson coming off a quality start will decline tonight. The Card are 12-5 away against losing teams.

We like Danny Duffy tonight over James Paxton. KC with Duffy on the mound is 8-4 at home. He has been nasty pitching 0.98 WHIP in last three. James Paxton coming off a win despite only going 5 inning giving up 4 runs. Paxton off a win is not good. KC 37-14 at home, 24-9 with Duffy.

The Giants failed me, but I still love their winning ways. I'd go action here, but go ahead and list them if you like. Tyler Anderson has good stuff capable of keeping Colorado in game. Jake Peavy for the Giants have been rocked this season. Coming off 5 hit 7 run, 3 earned, 2 HR game. Makes the dog  looking okay. However the Giants 11-4 following a win. 21-5 against NL West, 13-4 against lefties, 10-2 in Peavy's home game against losing teams. We like the Giants

Arizona's Pat Corbin has 2 quality starts out of 7 at home. He is 0-5 with the Diamondbacks going 0-7. We'll go with the Giants and Samardzija playing a bounce back spot.

Texas Rangers at New York Yankees
Coming off an extended game these two teams battled after the long rain delay and Texas came back in the 9th to take the game.  The Ranger are rolling and Cole Hamels is in good position to get his first win against the Yankees.  The Yanks will send CC Sabathia who is pitching in the money. Sabathis has pitched 8 quality starts out of 12 and definately helping his club, but most of that effort is coming away from Yankee Stadium. Sabathia in a spot to improve today, but winning this one is a tall order. We'll lay the short favorite here. Texas 11-4 with Hamel on the mound. Hamel 5-0 away. Rangers 14-3 in last 17 road games. Sabathia 8-18 after opponents score 5 runs or more in previous game.

L.A. Dodgers at Pittsburgh Pirates
The Pirates have dominated the Dodgers for quite awhile. You can go back three seasons and it continues this season. We're looking at 4 game sweep of winning record holder, 41-36,  Dodgers by under .500 losing record holder, 37-39,  Pirates.  L.A. before this series had 6 games win streak going so they were not slumping. Sweeps are hard to come by and sweeping a winning team is tougher yet. Now the Pirates are making this task a little harder by sending a losing pitcher to the mound, Francisco Liriano 4-7, Lariano is coming off a game where he gave up no home runs, which usually means he's going to give it up here. The Dodger need to regain their poise. Liriano starting the Pirates have lost 7 out of last 8. Dodgers are 11-6 in day games.

Cleveland Indians at Detroit Tigers
The Indians are on best win streak of 8 and blowing teams out. Detroit is falling back to .500 and Justin Verlander takes the mound to lift the Tigers. Verlander has been good and very good at home, 7 quality starts out of 8 with 1.05 WHIP, working deep keeping the Tigers in striking range. Verlander has yet to lose in June and you have to go back to May 8 for his last loss at home. As good as Verlander has been so is Josh Tomlin, perfect on the road. Tomlin has beat Verlander twice this season. Taking Cleveland on a roll.

Camden Yards will welcome Matt Moore and the Rays tonight. Tampa is sliding, dropped 7 straight. Having a off day maybe a good thing, but the Rays last start was a lost opportunity to halt their loss and now they're on the road against the O's, 27-13 at home. Yovani Gallardo is pitching for Baltimore  and he has yet to have a quality start, but the O's are backing him at home. Tonight's pitchers are not likely to last and Baltimore is 8-2 with current line. Matt Moore 0-5 away, 1-7 in night game and Tampa 9-20 against  winning teams.

Tigers take game one and return to game two with their top money pitcher, Michael Fulmer 7-2, and Detroit has cracked above .500 in quiet fashion. The Mariners will go with their old workhorse,
 Hisashi Iwakuma 6-5, 3-3 away lasting 7 innings in all of last five starts. He is a formidable pitcher. However Fulmer has given up 1 run or none in last 6 starts and coming off a loss. Laying the short favorite.

We've got a tight line today with Southsiders sending Sale to the mound. Bean Towners going with Clay Buckholtz looking to bounce back. Clay has beat the White Sox in Chicago, but his quality game is lacking. Chris Sale has been money, however his last 7 has seen some decline. The line is holding even and White Sox pen is suspect. Going Over on this game.
