San Diego Padres at Los Angeles Angels

The Padres are a force this year.  San Diego heating up with 12-3 record in last 15 games. Now they got Mike Clevinger from Cleveland and making a run to win the West. The Angels are hurting and sports 6-20 record as a home dog. However the line does not look as easy as the trend and definitely a dangerous pitcher in Andrew Heaney taking the home mound. We will stay on the Over on this game coming in at 8.5 Both teams are trending Over and we expect this one to continue in hot southern California weather.

The Angels has 3-1 in last 4 coming into this final game with some swing, 32 to 12 runs for to against ratio, that's impressive. But last game at 1-2 home Angels win is a correction indicator.  Seattle has been a tough match for mid level and below teams.  We like Seattle as a under dog here.

Cincinnati Reds at Milwaukee Brewers

Are the thoughts of shopping value on your mind? I would move on with the Brew Crews return to Miller Park.  Brett Anderson taking the mound couldn't contain the Reds last time out.  Maybe he'll be ready tonight, but opposing Trevor Bauer who is looking nasty will not be good. Brewers August games 8-12, dismal against right hand pitching 6-12, and the fade in effect.  On the Reds tonight.

Los Angeles Dodgers at Texas Rangers
We're out in Surprise, AZ home to the Rangers spring training camp.  Jordan Lyles taking the mound will look to improve today.  He is in a good spot as the Rangers have heated up in March and I expect Texas to keep their momentum against the visiting Dodgers.  L.A. has cooled off a bit and Julio Urias looking to extend, but I don't see the Dodgers doing too much today.  I think the Texas price at home today is under valued and definitely worth a shot.

2020 Spring Training

What's up gang. Are we ready to play or what?  Not quite there yet? Understandable, but we do have one of those games that I like in exhibition.

We will get a look at Gerrit Cole in pin stripes at George Steinbrenner Field in Tampa. The make up of this game has the perception of NY just bulling over the visiting Pirates, but Cole's not doing much today and the line up will change. Pittsburgh camped in Brandenton is not traveling far and being a no pressure game I have one thought on this one. Take the Run Line.

Do a two on this one with sides and total. The Nationals are hungry and they will go with a proven post season pitcher in Strasburg. However Walker Buehler has been just as sensational and if this turns to a pitchers game the Dodgers are built to finish strong in late game. Good chance Kershaw will come out of the pen to finish this series. Lay it and game to stay Under the fist 5.

Philadelphia Phillies at Cincinnati Reds
Back to the Great American Ballpark.  We are on a line watch and it is very much in range.  Trevor Bauer maybe having bit of issues since coming to the Reds, but that was all on the road. His home game against San Diego was a quality 7 innings with 11 strike outs. Before that was the Cubs again going 7 innings in a 1 run game also striking out 11. This is a salvage spot in a likely improvement situation for Bauer at home. The visiting Phillies are in the hunt and they are sending Aaron Nola. He has been a work horse and when he is on his game he'll go through batters like hot knife to a butter. He has done well for his backers home and away. It looks like he too will improve his game in 'Cincinnati.
Looking for this game to fall below 9. The number maybe 8.5 when you look at the line, but try for the 9, see if the line will move to your favor.

The starters today are both at the bottom of their respective rotation. Mitch Keller for the Pirates getting his 4th start in August. He is coming off a quality start striking out 9 against Cincinnati. The Pirates are 3-9 following a win. 7-21 on the road against winning teams. 8-20 against right handed pitching. The Phillies are sending Vince Velasqoez.  He was chased in 2 innings at Miami, but much better at home 8-3. Against teams with losing record 6-2.  Head to head match up is 3-9 and 1-5 in Philadelphia.

We like who's pitching for the Yankees tonight, Domingo German. He's pitched 4 quality out of last 7 and the Yanks are 7-0 in those starts.  Oakland starter Homer Bailey is also pitching quality starts, but we do see him regressing tonight.  We'll be laying the road favorites.

In this game we have two improving pitchers on the mound.  In contrast the Total is lagging and the public has not caught up. This line can be easily misread, but we look for the outcome to be Under.
Chicago has gone under 5-1 against pitchers with WHIP under 1.15, 7-1 against home winning teams,  5-2 in Darvish road starts. Phillies Under 8-1 against NL Central, 8-3 after scoring 5 runs or more. Morales behind the plate Under 5-1. Going Under.

Chicago Cubs at Cincinnati Reds
Tracking the game at Great American Ballpark. The Cubs are coming in hot, but there are underlying issues away from Wrigley.  Nevertheless Cole Hamels back on the mound for the second time since his return and he gave up zip against Milwaukee last time out. The Reds not to be out done will also attack from the left with Alex Wood. He has a win and since returning both starts have been winners. I expect a tight game tonight and going with the game total to fall below 9.5 Chicago Under 7-1 away against winning home teams. 7-1-1 game 1 of series. 10-2 against NL Central. The Reds are Under 5-1 at home against road losing teams. 18-7-1 after a off day. Head to head Under 5-1 and so the speculative prediction is Under. Love the hook tonight.

The two pitchers on the mound today are both performing well. Joe Musgrove has gone 3-2 in last 7 with 4 quality starts and the Pirates have won 5 out of those 7. However Noah Syndergaard also coming in hot and he has been feasting on teams with losing record.  The Pirates 7-19 overall are 2-8 coming off a loss. Musgrove 5-16 following a quality start. Syndergaard 6-2 in 8 starts and the Mets are 8-1 against losing teams.

The Giants are looking hot and they will be hosting No#` NL Central Cubs. Chicago is a team not to be taken lightly, but their performance away from Wrigley is not all that impressive. The Giants have gone 16-5 at home. Take action here as the home team showing advantage.
