Tampa Bay Rays at Cleveland Indians
The Indians are not officially dead yet, but have no doubt they are the long shot to make the post season. Terry Francona's club will try to control what they can and that is to win this game. Tampa is down and out for 2014, but they will send Chris Archer who has pitched great baseball as of late with 3 quality starts and last 2 he was almost unhittable. Archer road starts are better, but he is pitching in a bad spot. His recent quality starts are some what product of his bounce back from his 2 bad outings and now he's exceeded his average coming off a no run two hit 6 inning game against Chicago he looks to regress here. Cleveland sending their top gun Corey Kluber to the mound. He has been high quality pitcher all around, but little better at home and the Tribes are 12-4. We'll play against Tampa on the Run line where the Rays are dismal 66-93.

Yes we're still on this series. The M's had their best chance last night, but nothing doing with their post season hopes dimming Toronto is looking formidable at home. Mariners will start Tom Wilhelmsen and bull pen committee. Toronto will go with Daniel Norris and bull pen corp. As we would take action here on Toronto with Seattle on fade with 3 straight losses or more.

Cleveland for a short while closed the gap holding on to the conclusion of their suspended game only to drop the second game. The Tribe does have winning record at home, but momentum is weak. Danny Salazar will take the ball, 6-7 with 4.02 ERA, his team winning at home 6-3. Unfortunately he comes into a spot to regress. Yordano Ventura is a road warrior, 7-3 with KC 8-4, pitching 10 quality games out of 12. Going to take Royals with cheese.

Seattle Mariners at Houston Astros
Despite Houston's losing season they put up 10 runs and held the Mariners to 1 run. Dallas Keuchel was masterful going 8 inning and preserving the pen. Now Houston will send another money pitcher Collin McHugh who has been impressive winning 4 in a row and recently beat Seattle 2-1 at Safeco. Seattle's starter Hisashi Iwakuma is showing signs of weakening. Houston took the first series in Seattle back in Sept. 8th to 10th which started the Mariner's slide, losing the Oakland series and splitting the Angles series. However this Seattle team still in the post season run has played better away, 8-1 as road favorites, 9-1 after allowing 5 runs or more, with 16-5 record following a loss. Houston is 17-48 after opponent scores 2 runs or less. Iwakuma on a bounce back spot pitching 10-3 on the road. Seattle in need of this win will force their will.

Hey gang how you guys doing? I've been having health issues this season and ended up making a one week stay at the hospital. I'm glad that's over. Hope to make some noise down the stretch.

Game 1 of this series was a slug fest with the Pads holding on 6-5 and easily sailing Over the 7.5 total. Today the line gets tighter and total lower. The Padres showed better pitching and they will send Tyson Ross with 22 quality starts out of 30 games. He has been outstanding at home, but not so away. He is also high Under total pitcher with better than 65% Under away, better than 70% against right hand pitching. Chase Anderson and the Diamondbacks are having a tough time trying to stop the mounting losses. Chase is 2-5 in last 7 starts and the Diamondbacks have dropped 7 Ina row. Their last win was at San Diego on Sept. 4th. Matter of fact that was a series win and Diamondbacks did it in dominant fashion. Anderson is much better at home and this is a bounce back start. We side with the slight home dog Arizona and hold off on the total with declining number.

We have a heavy chalk game which I'm not considering the sides at all, but the run line and total. We're fading Zona on run line, not getting into the details, but we all know the Nats are rolling and they are positive on run line wins. More so are the Diamondbacks terrible run line loss numbers and Nuno taking the mound away usually ends in run line loss. The other take is the Over with Zim going for the Nats. He has been absolutely Over in his appearance and we see at least 8 runs combined.

Philadelphia Phillies at San Francisco Giants
This game will feature NL East basement Philadelphia Phillies in game two at S.F. Giants. Game one pitcher's dual with Phillies Cole Hamels and Giants Madison Bumgardner both going 7 innings you'd think it live up to low scoring, grinding type of game, but the Under did not hold. Low 6 was doomed in the 8th when score became tied at 3-3. Even the first 5 inning Under lost with score of 1-4. The Total maybe meaningless to these teams except for the fact S.F. lost leading after 7th which is one of those rare baseball occurrence, especially for the Giants at home, blowing the Under. S.F. losing in extra inning making them 3-7 in last 10. It'll be critical to take today's game and Hudson has high expectation to get it done. However Hudson having trouble getting the wins and though Philadelphia's Kendrick is getting knocked around he does come into a bounce back spot. We like the match up to produce runs. Philadelphia ranked second in Over's and they are better on the road.

Tonight our thought are on momentum money dogs and that's the Mariners winners of 8 out of last 10. They are profitable team with extremely good run line return. Detroit are not and they have won two in a row, but that only salvaged the Pittsburgh series and they are 4 wins out of last 10. Rick Porcello for Detroit has been pitching well, but wins have not come easy. Even excluding the loss from his relief appearance the Tigers have dropped 4 out of 6 with Porcello on the mound. James Paxton has only 22 innings since returning, but he's getting the job done and now looks stretched out.

Let's play the pitching angle. The Reds sending a weakening All Star, Alfredo Simon 12-7 with 3.08 ERA, but unable to win since the break. He is not the same pitcher we saw in the first half and strike to walk ratio is terrible. Coors Field altitude is not going to help and the Rockies are not the same team at home. Rox coining home from bad road trip, 1-5, but they are much tougher 28-30 at home and Reds are 28-31on the road. Colorado has their money pitcher on the mound, Jorge De La Rosa 11-8 with 4.34 ERA. His wins come at home, 7-2, and the Rockies are 8-2. Colorado 20-8 last 28 meetings against Cincinnati in Denver.

We have NL Central contending Pittsburgh on the road against Arizona Diamondbacks. The D-Backs are 48-62 and 14 games back of front runner Los Angeles. Arizona doesn't have much to play for, but the fact these guys are Major Leaguers. Any losing team is capable of taking down a contender, maybe the costly error or the lone hero in the line up or the pitchers or the umps, there are so many variables. The Diamondbacks Chase Anderson is on a roll going 19 innings in last 3 games with 1.89 ERA and 21 strikeouts. He carved the Reds in his last start. Opposite is Vance Worley with 0.98 WHIP on the road. We like Pittsburgh. The Bucks are very good 4-1 after scoring 5 or more in last 5. 12-4 as road favorite of -110 to -150, 17-6 against losing teams. The D-Backs 3-13 as home dog of +110 to +150, 5-11 against winning teams.

Sup gang. Are you guys watching the line? Heavy chalk day with Nationals, Tigers, As, coming in higher than -200 The White Sox -300. The games represent clear edge, but be aware of recent trades. It's also opportunities for unexpected upsets, like the recent Oakland Houston series, so we turn our attention to Miami where the line is tight and newly acquired pitcher from Houston Jarred Cosart. He has been rocky as of late and we like the Reds pitcher Matt Latos better. Matt is lacking innings, but he is looking good on the road with the Reds domination over Miami, last night was 6 straight going to last season, they maybe turning the corner here.

It's zSaturday matinee at Wrigley Field. Catch that Redline to Addison stop and make sure to get there in time. The Cards are reeling and letting last nights game get away has to sting. Although the mighty Cardinals has bounced backed from these type of losses in the past their game against losing teams have not faired well this season and second half has started 1-5. The pitching also favors the Cubs today with Jake Arrieta on the mound. The Cubs are 4-1 when Jake pitches at home. St Louis pitcher Shelby Miller is in a funk and opposing hitters are making him pay. Lay the favorite.

San Diego Padres at Los Angeles Dodgers
San Diego has been a team good pitchers feast on and we have a good pitcher on the mound for L.A. in Clayton Kershaw. He's putting up zeros and looking to extend the Padres offensive misery. The Dodgers are overwhelming favorites and most will agree this should be a game for Dodges to get better and keep the pressure on the Giants. However the Friers sending a good arm from a Cuban comer to counter with Odrisamer Despaigne. He has 19 innings under his belt, all against NL West and very effective. The Dodgers do not impress at home and they have been on a slide. We look for the Padres to steal this one.

The Mets are making a stand at home. They returned to NY and took the Texas series. Now they won game one as a home dog and position themselves to go ahead on the Braves. Atlanta will not be easy tonight as their all star pitcher Julio Teheran takes the mound. He is pitching 16 quality games out of 18. Julio's game does diminish on the road, but he has faced quality opponents and one outing in Coors Field. Tonight his opponent Jacob Degrom has been struggling on the mound. His home numbers are terrible 0-4 and his recent WHIP has ballooned to 1.525 The Mets are 2-8 when Degrom takes the ball and of his last 6 losses only one game covered +1.5 run line. We will go with Atlanta run line tonight.

However behind everything I like about Phillies pitching today our money backs the home dog Miami and Tom Koehler. He just took a ND against Hamels in Philadelphia pitching 7 hit 2 run game. Koehler showing return on 6 quality starts out of 8 at home. Miami has logged three losses in a row, but expect much better showing at home. Take the home dog.

The weekend has come and gone, but the games continue on shaping the season as we enter the summer.
Chicago Cubs at Miami Marlins
The Cubs take the Philadelphia series on the road and split the road series losing to Pittsburgh winning against the Phillies. Chicago has been the basement team in NL Central, but they're recent road win has to be encouraging. Today Chicago will send Jason Hammel who has been in the money. He is a quality producing pitcher and backers have done well. However Chicago will go into one of the most hostile parks in National League and face Miami"s number 2 money pitcher Tom Koehler. Although 5-5 he is much better at home with 1.05 WHIP and coming off two road games where he kept it close enough for Miami team win. He should have a quality start today and we expect the Marlins to take care of business at home. We also like late inning Over as tonight's number has gone 4-1 in last 5.

The Cubs take the Philadelphia series on the road and split the road series losing to Pittsburgh winning against the Phillies. Although 5-5 he is much better at home with 1.05 WHIP and coming off two road games where he kept it close enough for Miami team win. He should have a quality start today and we expect the Marlins to take care of business at home. We also like late inning Over as tonight's number has gone 4-1 in last 5.
